Stanfield House uses a intensive person centred programme, which is designed to explore the clients journey into substance misuse and development of skills to maintain recovery. Stanfield House is a 10 bed (with disabled access) service based in Cumbria. Stanfield House is a short walk from Workington Town Centre with excellent facilities and transport links. Stanfield House enables service users to benefit from living within a safe, quiet community whilst having access to the support and opportunities within Cumbria. What we do: The first three months of our programme will be intensive Psycho-Social Intervention with our structured group programme and 1-2-1 key working sessions. The group structure is unified across all the services we have but the programme will be designed to meet the individual component of the service user. Part of our structured timetable is gardening and a weekly visit to our adopted train station https://communityrail.org.uk/resources-ideas/case-studies/rail-journey-recovery. The second three months of our rehabilitation programme will have a clear focus on education, training and employment (ETE) and building social capital. We have a clear programmed timetable with clear defined outcomes and outputs. Our services include: Safe, secure and fully furnished accommodation Key work and group sessions Individual care plan including treatment plans where appropriate Encouraging and supporting clients in accessing educational, social and vocational activities Comprehensive education, training and employment package Peer mentoring scheme Aftercare support Suitable for those with physical disabilities. The property has disabled access, as well as a fully modified bedroom on the ground floor. Here are the reasons to consider us Continuous support: We go the extra mile to work with you before, during and after placement. Person centred support: There is no one journey through a rehab placement – we get to know you and help you focus on the goals that you want to reach. Personal resources: Together we can uncover the resources you possess to support you with your recovery e.g. family relationships and self determination. Inspiring independence and community engagement: Our rehabs are a safe environment where you can practice independent living, free of substances and engage with the community around you.
Stanfield House takes a person centred approach to each client to support individual needs and offer family guidance. This is built into the support plan - subject to the client’s agreement.
Children of residents are encouraged to visit their parents at the project. However, outside activities, e.g. zoo visits, are encouraged. No specific activities or facilities for children are available.
Stanfield House works closely with post treatment providers to ensure an effective and smooth transfer to the service.
Naloxone training and naloxone pens available. Exploring options available to the individual to reduce risk and ensure a safe return to their home area.
Stanfield House offers a minimum of six weeks after care upon successful completion of the main programme. In addition the service offers a range of aftercare packages that can be tailored to meet the clients aftercare needs.

Appointments for assessments are generally to be booked in for between 11am and 3pm during working week Monday to Sunday. The assessment takes an hour to complete, unless the client has complex needs. The assessment allows staff to identify with potential clients the areas they need support with in as well as establishing if any wider support needs would require any onward referrals.
Turning Point operates in a person centred manner and looks at the needs and risk assessment of the client
On admission each client has a early discharge plan agreed, which ensures that a action plan is in place should the client need to discharge themselves or be discharged at short notice. Discharge plans are agreed with referring partners/agencies to ensure a safe transiition where early discharge occurs
