The Priory Hospital Woking's provides care for people suffering from mild to moderate mental health issues, such as stress and anxiety, through a range of outpatient based therapy services such as individual and group based cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT). For those people requiring inpatient care for more severe psychiatric illness such as depression or psychotic illness there are residential facilities. The hospital's supportive and challenging programme is designed to introduce the client to the concept of abstinence from alcohol and drugs, using tools of group therapy, presentations, videos, counselling, and art therapy. Introduction to the principles of the 12-step programme, including attendance at meetings.

The initial assessment is conducted in a one-to-one session with a qualified therapist, looking at bio-psycho-social history. An assessment of motivation is also made.
