CBT/social learning

Therapeutic community

Our programme is psycho-social with themes of CBT led topics. All groups have a strong relapse prevention focus. Group topics include: emotion management, communication, relationships, self-group (introspection) feelings group, ITEP mapping, health & wellbeing.
We work closely with families in order to get the best outcome for our clients.
Visits to Passmores House can take place on Saturdays or Sundays at the request of the resident for up to two hours at a time. During these visits, families interact with each other in communal areas including our serene gardens. After a few weeks families are able to take the clients into the local town for 2 hours.
After completing rehab at Passmores House there is FREE aftercare for as long as the resident remains abstinent, which currently takes place on a Friday morning. Ex-residents are encouraged to utilise this service as part of their weekly routine. We also offer 24 hour telephone support to anyone having left the service. All clients have a documented after-care plan prior to their admission as we believe this is one of the most important aspects of treatment. This is tweaked during treatment and in collaboration with referrers and clients.
Residents are given relapse prevention information, harm minimisation information and an appointment made with their referring services prior to discharge. Depending on the circumstances of discharge we try our best to tailor each discharge as necessary for the client.
We run aftercare groups every Friday morning, which ex residents are encouraged to attend for support. These groups are run by volunteers and ex service users. We also work with various housing associations across local boroughs and can refer clients onto various associations across London, Kent and Hertfordshire.
